I began teaching Modern Foreign Languages in 1997. Before this, I completed a BA (Hons) in French and Spanish. As part of my language studies, I taught English in a Spanish school. This experience is what convinced me that teaching was for me.

I have taught in four different schools and have challenged myself in each one. I have completed a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and an NPQH.

I have worked on the leadership team here at Walkden since I arrived in 2015. Initially, I was responsible for the progress of our more able students. I am now responsible for driving up the progress of all our students here at Co-op Academy Walkden. I love being able to give the students the skills and knowledge they need to progress.

We are fortunate to have amazing students at our Academy who are willing to try their best in everything they do. This makes my job rewarding and satisfying. I am sure we will see our students continue to grow and go from strength to strength.
