I have been teaching since 2005 and have taught in several schools including specialist settings. I always knew I wanted to teach and realised early into my career that I wanted to focus on Special Educational Needs. 

I joined Co-op Academy Walkden at the start of 2020 as Head of the Enhanced Provision and Assistant SENDCo. I am extremely proud to now be the Assistant Principal for Inclusion and SEND.

I am very passionate about inclusion / SEND and believe that we should be equipping our young people with the skills and knowledge that will enable them to lead an independent life as much as possible.

My vision is that every student will look forward to coming to the Academy every day, knowing they have the support they need to achieve. We want our students to achieve socially, academically, and emotionally, both now and in the future, and we will guide them to do this.
