Originally from Liverpool, I studied International Development with Geography at University of Leeds and Middle East Technical University in Ankara; which is where I learned to speak Turkish! 

After a number of years working in the private sector I undertook a career in education in 2017 with the aim of supporting pupils to grasp the best possible opportunities with both hands!

 I have spent my whole teaching career at Co op Academy Walkden, first as a Geography teacher, then Progress Leader for the current year 11 and now work closely with Mr Corbett and the pastoral team in my current role. I am passionate about behaviour and culture in schools, and strive to support every single student to overcome their own individual challenges and fulfil their potential.
