Progression from Studying Media Studies 

From studying Media Studies GCSE, you can go on to study Media Studies A-Level or a Level 3 BTEC in a similar subject. This can lead to studying all sorts of subjects at University or onto exciting Media based apprenticeships. For example:

  • Print or broadcast journalism;
  • Digital Marketing and communications;
  • Film editor;
  • Video game production;

Media Studies A-level or BTEC Level 3 can lead you to studying a wide variety of subjects at University. Media can be studied on it’s own or it can be combined with other subjects such as:

  • Film Studies;
  • English Language/Literature;
  • Drama;
  • Creative Writing;
  • Film and television production.
