At Co-op Academy Walkden, we have a multitude of extra-curricular activities that not only widen learning experiences but also make academy life more enjoyable.

We have lots to choose from and something for everyone. At lunchtimes, we offer a range of extra-curricular sports alongside a broad range of non-sporting activities which students sign up for weekly during Personal Development.

We also have a range of after-school extra-curricular activities including very successful sports teams, a Cadet Unit and the opportunity to take part in our annual dramatic production.

We offer a variety of trips and visits, both during and after academy hours, and we invite external visitors to talk to our students on various subjects throughout the year.

In addition, we run daily homework clubs, where students can go into a classroom with a member of staff and complete homework. 

Students do not need to sign up or register, just come along and join in.
